Kllliani, October 7. Two further accidents were reported from Omouu district yesterday. One case wus that of James Taylor, aged 50, who had u leg broken by a papa slip. Gangs of men carried all night for fifteen miles over bush tracks, and thence drove 25 miles to town which was readied. 20 hours after ||,e accident.

Thorn is a great necessity for tic erection of a telephone, which has been authorised by the Government, hut has not yet been commenced. There are large numbers of men employed on co-operative works m the district, but owing to the number of accidents and the distance from medical aid, dilliciilty is being experienced in tilling up with fresh gangs.
