He would respect Jie promise he had made, for while be was slow to promise, his word could be relied upon. He stated that the Legislature would be moved in the matter, but more' than this it would be inexpedient for him to say at present. He must he left to work out the matter as lie thought best. The Minister -for Agriculture was asked to hand over ilic unsold pot-" tio« of Hie Spots-wood settlement to the Taranaki Agricultural Society which would be prepared to carry out I a scheme for the estaDlishniifflt of an expurimental farm.
