Company, Limited, Wellington, have received the following cable from their London ollice, dated 21 th ult. :

Wool sales closed very linn. Old stock is ,now virtually cleared off. Scoured super merino wools, prices on the ave;riKg|e; we; (5 per cent.fy'jjhMr than closing rata of last seHcs. Other descriptions, prices are higher by 5 to "■}■ per cent. Short scoured w»ols_, inferior and faulty descrip-. tions 1 excepted, prices are on a par. with closing/Afatas:, of last scries. Greasy merino wools (in gcncral>aro 5 per cent 'higher, (extra superior wools excepted) and change in price is in. favour of sellers. Fine crossbred wools, prices are on the average at par to o per cent •higher than closing rates of last series. Medium crossbred 5 per cent, higher. Coarse crossbred 8 per cent, higher, except light uml bright groasy crossbreds which are on a par with last series closing rates, Tol|al .Colonial wool available, 82,000 bales. Out of net ava/Hai(le fctr'sate, somn 44,000 bales have been sold for tho Home consumption, 32,000 for the Continent, 3000 bales for America, leaving 3000 bales to be carried forward to the next series. We have ft. very favourable opinion of prospects for ensuing series of sales. Tallow.—Extra multcn (allow, 3d per cwt, higher. Low and inferior descriptions, Od per cwt. higher. Since our last telegram combing sheep skins are lower by id per lb. Clothing sheep skins are'at parto Jd per lb higher. Frozen 'Meal.—Kxpecl no improvement in prices until stocks are rcduivd.
