OHKISTCHUIICH, Oct, 3. Maurice Johnson, a fireman on 'the Ilavorsham, (.'range, was lined LH and costs , w tj the Lytleluon Police Court for being in possession of u marble, clock on which duty had not been paid.
The same,accused was charged with having stolen <a clock from 'the captain of tho steamer, the charge be-' i"g subsequently amended to, one of receiving, on] which 'accused was convicted and discharged, 'whilst the fireman froml ■whom he received it was fined! £3, or a 'month's imprisonment, for stealing it.
