PROPOSED VETERINARY COLLEGE
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 3. Mr E, J. Riddlfoi-d' has informed the .Mayor of the Lower Iluft that he will give a handsome donation to the cost if the Uovernmeot will establish a veterinary college in Wellington district.
The test of whether the offer will be accepted by the t.'cvernmcnt is whether the donation will •!«.. sufficient to compensate for the additional cost of establishing; a college in Wellington as compared with the South. The Chief Veterinarian's view is that better work could be done by a veterinary school connected Willi the Ota-go I'niversity.
