" B (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Oct. 1. Tho total for the twenty-second week of the New Zealand egg-laying competition is 2773, which is a record. This brings the grand total up. to 85,1)05, and the weekly average of 271.73 eggs per pen. To-day completes the fifth month of the competition. The prize for the month was taken by, E. Tralierne's Black Orpingtons from, Ohristehurch, which arc credited with 152, this being a record. The second place is filled Iby Mickshaw's White Leghorns from Blenheim, with 148 • and for third place there is a tic 137 being returned by tiolh Murphy's rosecomb Black Orpingtons and J. nances White Leghorns, from Bl c n- ; icim.
