W ATKINS MILLS CONCERT. The follow tig is taken troui a letter received (by a New Plymouth resident yesterday "At the Watkin Mills' concert in the Town Hall (Wellington) on Saturday night there was standing room only. The enthusiasm was unbounded. They encored every number." New Plymouth people certainly have a musical treat in store on Friday night, such, perhaps, as they may never have again. The Australian press is unanimous in its verdict thai "it is the finest quartette of singers that has ever visited the colonies."

"THK MAGIC KKTTLK," The attraction which Mr George Stephenson announces for a two nights' season in tnc Theatre Koyal, commencing' next Tuesday, Oct. 3, bears the stamp of novelty. Those who attend Mr Stephenson's entertainment will have the opportunity <A seeing what liquid air is like, and of witnessing a demonstration of its very remarkable properties, many of which effect an apparent reversal ol several ol Nature's accepted laws. Professor Andrews, who manipulates the "Magic Kettle," was the lirst ta utilise liquid air for the purposes o! all interesting, amusing and instructive entertainment. The "Magic Kettle" is one of the principal attractions of the coming season, and the local public will doubtless be eager to witness Professor Andrews' much eulogised entertainment. The company also includes the famous Pierrots, from the principal London theatres, who provide a humorous, musical and dramatic interlude of a refined nature. There will also appear the Trinit'ty Boys' Choir, a (quartette of youths, highly trained in glee singing, etc., who will sing under the direction of their instructor, Mr J. N. Gehdc. Another new performer is Alma, described as the Court, magician. An interesting item in Al- , ma s performance will be the new and n r i ' ng 'L! usion ' " Uda ." Goddess of ■ ™ Air.
