WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 20; HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. The House met at 2»0 P-o-In reply to questions, me Premier stated thai Vbe Government is seriously considering thi question oi amending the libel Uw oi the colony, so as to bring it into line with thai of (jueensland and the Mother Country ; in all probability next session Parliament would be given ttie opportunity ol considering the matter. The greater part oi the aiternoon was occupied in discussing Ministerial replies to questions. EVENING SITTING. The House resumed at 7.30 p.m. Several amendments in the leathers' Superannuation Bill were brought down by Governor's message. Mr Seddon said the recommendations ol the Education Committee were included among these amendments. The total amendments proposed meant an increase in the liability of the colony of £140,000, The Electoral Bill was* further considered in committee.
