The Tartar Revolt.
Suspected Massacre at Baton Seizure of Revolutionary Literature. St.• PETERSBURG, Sept. 17. The situation in Batoum suggests a massacre similar to that at Baku. A ■ brigade ol infantry and artillery is • proceeding thither. The Czar, replying to a memorial from oil-well owners, ordered an early conference of representatives of the principal firms, togelher with the chief officials, to report on the cause and circumstances oi the recent disturbances. Two Frenchwomen have been arrested at Odessa foe smuggling revolutionary literature, great stocks ol which were seized <aboard the Messag-erics-Maritimes steamer Guadiana. Repatriating tbe Unemployed. (Received Sept. 18, 9.40 p.m.) St. PETERSBURG, Sept. 18. Thousands of unemployed persons at Oaku will he expatriated.
