MISHAP ON MOUNT ARTHUR.
FOOLISH USE OF A POWDER FLASK. (I'.t Pro'.s Association.) NELSON, Sept. 18. Two young men, brothers, named Brooby, made an expedition to Mount Arthur tableland, and on returning lost their way in a fog. In making a fire one of them used his powder flask, but the powder exploding;, the flask cut a fearful gash in lvis throat, and burnt his i face and eyelids. After five hours' walk in the dark they reached the residence of a settler,-Mr F. Holder, in an exhausted state, Reginald Grooby's clothes being saturated in blood. Mr Holder drove them in to Motucka, where the Injured lad is reported to be doing well.
