Sir,-I ,am deputed by Adjutant Dickens, of the Salvation Army, to write a few words expressive of both his and Mrs Dickens' heartfelt thanks for the many marks of kindness they have received from the public of New Plymouth, re his illness caused by the late accident, and through which he is now incapacitated. The general concern expressed has touched their heat ts, and words fail to express their feelings, but in order that the public may have some idea or the appreciation felt by the adjutant and , us good wife, lie has requested me to pen these .few lines, fare long he hopes to be about again, and by a continuance of the. efforts lie has always endeavoured to make in order to be a bjessing to those with whom he has come in contact, repay to some shown. kin(l " eSS S
