MANAWATU GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP.
(I'or Press Association.', PALMERSTON N., Sept. 13. At the Manawatu golf championship meeting to-day Imlay Saunders beat Cox, Sims 'beat Harold,. A. Strang .beat Freeth, Kurepo Tareha beat Pearce. At the 21st hole in the semi-finals, Sims beat Saunders 2up 1 to play,, and Kurepo Tareha beat Strang (i up-and 5 to play. In- •the ladi?s' championship semifinals Mrs Jolmston (Hut-t), with a spore of 95, loeat Miss James (Wellington), and Miss Campbe'l (Ohristchurch) beat Mrs L.Abraham 3up 1 to play. The men's bogey was won by P. Sim (7') 5 up. The ladies' bogey resulted in a tie between Mis Johnston (scr) anil Miss E. Abraham (4) 3 up. The men's putting was won by Walter Reid, Wellington.
