Tho estimated receipts for the coming year were £11,327,000, expenditure £11,407,000. It was hoped to save £BO,OOO by departmental: economies, and £50,000 by legislation. Loan expenditure for tho past vnar amounted to £3,»33,000, of which a million and a half was spent on public works, the balance being absorbed by renewals a „d repayments.
