Tender Accept*! (Per Press Association.); DUNISDIN, Septj 11. Nine tenders were received by, tho Dock Trust for the construction of ■ the new graving dock, at Port Chalmers, all being larger than Wie pre« sent one. The amounts ranged from | £53,000 to The lowest tiender, (or £53,000, was from a Sydney, firm, but was informal. The Trust, after discussion, accept* ed the tender of Luttrell and Scott, Christchureh, at £58,719. It is understood that there ,was a local tender for £2OOO less than this* The. Trust is to provide cement, engine,; and pumps, at a cost in all of £16,000, and this will make the cost ot\ the dock £75,000, which is well within £IOOO of the engineer's .estimate. » The contractors undertake to com* plctc within 16 months of getting tho use of the dredgej
