(Per Press Association.) MARTON, Sept, 7. There was a large attendance on the concluding day pt the Marton J.C. Spring Meeting. The total investments for the two days were £11,531, an increase of £3527 on those of last year. Results:— Shorts HantHicap.—lfcd Cross 1, Apa 2, Windy 3. Also ran—Sir Percivale, White Squall, Paper, Merry? wing, Kiowa, Eorcdom, Compass, Eruption and Snip. Won by a length. Time, 52 2-ssec. Dividends, £l2 11b and £3 ss. Hunters' Hurdles.—Hakarau 1, John Peel 2, Paraquet 3. Also ran—Flanagan, Van Tromp, Showman, Betty, Hikairoa, Stampede, Haere, Kama, Emerald Isle and Tattoo. Hakarau ltd all the way, and won comfortably, Time, 3min 35see. Dividend, £lO 10s and £1 9s.
Marton Handicap.—Ngatarua 1, Rustwjue 2, Amaryllis 3, Also'van— Assayer, Lass o' Gowrie, Coxswain, Pardon, Seagull,, Won by a length and a half, a head between second and third. Time, lmin 47 2-sscc.
