ALLEGED ROBBEKY BY MASKED ' MEN. i BROKEN HILL, Aug. 29. ! It has been reported to the police than an impudent robbery was comI milted at a boardinghouse in Oxide-' street at midnight on Similiiv. ■> ' young woman being threatened by two masked men in her ucuroom, and robbed of over £3O, part of the week's payment from 10 or SO bn'i.. ers who lodge at hot lious«j Klli'ii McGuirc, from whom the mo- { ncy is alleged to have been stolen, stated : "I went io bid fairly early on Sunday night, and next remem- % bered being rudely awakened by see- ' ing two masked men with revolve: s i in their hands standing over me. ; One of them was about sft li'ii '• ! height, and of slight build. The other was a shorter man, and stout. ; Only 11iv tall one s|:okc, saying 'l J want your money.' I answered, ' 1 | haven't any.' The tall man then j said, 'Yes, you have. Was your pay- | day .Saturday.' He then Went to j lof«k, -and )i?ter : turning the bed- | cfcnhes /about found the bag at last j under my pillow. He threatened me | that if I made any noise he would shoot" me. The short, stout man .aid nothing throughout the whole J occurrence.
