West's Pictures and the Brescians,
Tho crowded audience at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday evening v was a joyful, sight to the managerial heart, and judging by the enthusiastic outbursts of applause ' which punctuated the whole performance the satisfaction was cordially reciprocated. Thcro were no half measures about the change of programme, and a discerning public was highly appreciative. Every item was new and interesting, and the whole performance was artistic and unique. The pictures were a beautiiui and varied collection, and equalled, if they did not excel, the pr» vious night's exhibition. Amongst tho pictures were several beautinr, scenic films, a set of views illustrate ing the daily lifcf of an English collier, and a representation of duel and elopement in the days of Louis XIV. The London Zoo was also- splendidly depicted, and gave tho spectators an interesting insight into the peculiarities and life of some fearful and wonderful specimens. There was also an excellent panorama of the Liverpool Grand National Steeplechase, from start to finish, including the fall of Moiiaa. Humorous (pictures most agreeably leavened the varied selection, and were greeted with uproarious laughter. Tho Brescians repeated their splendid success, and won encores and unstinted applause, for their artistic musical programme. Mr Fred Mills, the clever humorist, had hard work to get off the stage once he appear-, ed,'so persistent were the audience] for "more." .
There will bo another e'ntiio chango of programme this evening
