A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 29. Michael Drummond, employed at the tramway construction works, lies in a very serious condition at the .hospital as<the result of an accident yesterday. He was working in the vicinity of others who were removing the old lines by means of a lever. The rope attached to the lever snapped and the bar flew forward, striking Drummond on the head and rendering him unconscious.
