Drowning Fatality

A young limn named Percy N. Young vvus| drowned in the Piako River. Hi* came from Brisbane, v. here his wife and child reside. He was a member of the Itnpprial Bushmen Corps, and had Servod in South Africa.
New Zealand is gaining in favour each year as a hunting-ground for English dairy produce merchants (the New Zealand Times states). Among the recent arrivals in the colony is Mr R. Davidson, of Glasgow, and Mr Robert Hunter, of the London firm of Sandics, Hull, and Cairuthers—both highly reputable firms doing business in dairy produce. The mission of these representatives is to secure regular supplies of butter and cheese during the season, which commences at the beginning of next month.
