The Russians have reinforced their two guard stations at Zarefl and Port Lazartv, which the Japanese torpedoers destroyed. A German Army surgeon, Dr. Schaeier, sent to study the war from a surgical standpoint, reports that the Japanese bullets are as harmless as needles. Captures of Ships.
TOKIO, Aug. i 7. Admiral Kataoka reports that the Oxaotsk fleet captured a gun at Portagon, and seized a British ship, the Antelope, near Saghalien. It is stated in St. Petersburg that all the officers who surrendered with Vice-Admiral NieLogatoS at the battle of Tsushima will be cashiered. Admiral Niebogatofl pleads that to surrender his ships was in the circumstances necessary, and that it saved 2000 lives.
