LONDON, Aug. 24. Hiss Annette Kellerman the Victorian lady swimmer), Burgess and Horace MeW started to swim from Dover to Calais at 7 o'clock. Miss Kellerman was two miles ahead, hut later she withdrew, owing to seasickness. (Received Aug. 25, 11.22 p ; m.) LONDON, Aug. 25. Burgess and Mew abandoned the attempt. They each, like Miss Kellerman, swam eleven miles. Holbein started in the afternoon, bat relinquished the attempt late at night, after covering 16 miles.
