Mr Seddon said the Government would look carefully into the whole matter, but lie thought it would bo useless to svt up an inquiry unless they had something more tangible to go upon. The loss of capi't'il com plained of by the shareholders was caused by an agreement entered into by the Hank of New Zealand and the Colonial Bank. The discussion was interrupted by the 5.30 adjournment.
