Some time ago the brewers raisod the price of beer, and a number of publicans thereupon started a Cooperative brewery, on 3 securol large support, lowering the prices. Subsequent to the battle, the price was brought down to 57s 6d per hogshead. TTte secretary of the Brewers' • Association declared that before the lj.-j.ttle entfe beer will be sold ! at o penny per glass.
