Attempted Assassination.
CHien-Nlidtf Eaprtss Attacked(Reeerrtd Aug. 17, 9.1 p.m.) BERLIN, Aug. 17. The Tientsin correspondent of the wwspaper Frankleuter Zietung states that a man dressed as a soldier at' tempted the life of the Dowager-Km-press when leaving tor the Summer Palace. The Empress was uninjured. A regular sohtier stabbed the wouldbe assassin with his bayonet.
