New Plymouth High School Board
The monthly meeting of the Board of GoTernors of the High School was held on Wcdncs-day. Present : Messrs MacDiarmid (Chairman), Percy Smith, Roy and Fraser. —Boundary Fences.— Mr Pridham wrote in reference to a eompjaint from Mrs Courtenay that cattle were getting into her garden from the school paddock; in consequence, of rotten fences. It was decided to instruct the Hoard's solicitor to give the necessary npticcs as (0 repairing fencps. -Valua|inti : rIt was notified, that Mr Marchant lad agreed to act as valuer for the* Board, and that the Onaero tenants had appointed Mr R. H s Pigott to act for them, It was decided to inform Mr Pigotl (hat the valuation must be aiatlo before Aug., 31. -Proposed Prohibition Addrcss.The Rev. J. N. Buttle wrote, asking permission for the Rev. L M. Isitt to address the students at the close of the school on Aug 'a. The Board were unable to areede to the request. —Accounts.— Accounts amounting to £U" ifs Sd Were passed for payment.
