Mr Itakln, in replying to a question said Inquiries would be made with a view to protecting the interests of the assured in connection with one of tkc large American insurance companies, which it had heen stated contemplated withdrawing from Australia. The Commonwealth, he said, had no power to deal with the insurance till Parliament legislated on the matter.
