These included cession ol Russian kases on Liaotung Peninsula; evacuation of Manchuria ; the retrocession to China ol any Russian privileges in Manchuria and recognition of the opendoor" policy ; the cession to Japan of the Chinese Eastern railway below Harbin, the main line through Northern Manchuria to Vladivostok, remaining Russian; recognition of a Japanese protectorate over Korea ; granting ol fishing rights to Japan in the waters of the Siberian littoral northwards of Vladivostok to Behring Sea; the relinquishment to Japan of •ttoe interned warships ; and the limitation of Russia's naval strength in the far East.

Other advices slate that tlie Russians accept with quiet resignation the prospect ot prolonged war. Many are convinced that the disclosure of Japan's terms is bound to make the war even more palatable to tlie country. It is officially staled at Tokio that 118 Russian officers and men at Naioro, Sagbalien, surrendered on Tuesday. A combined naval and militaryforce started on Monday to expel the Russians from Yunaieba, 20 miles east of Korsakovsk.
Pinnaces carrying guns entered the inlet on Thursday, and the troops worked round the Eastern snores. After two hours' cannonading, 123 Russians surrendered.
