Fecognitioi of Grand lodges. (Per Pi'ess Association.) THAMES, Aug. 9. Hie following important informal tioii to the Masonic fraternity camo to hand from Homo to-day At conference of representatives of the-Grand Lodges of England, Ireland, and Scotland, held in London, the following, amorfe other resolutions, Was passed "Tho question of recognising a new Grand Lodge in. any Colony or other territory in which thiw Grand Hodges have et|Ual jurisdiction, .and have warranted lodges woVkSng therein, shall, not Iw entertained unless at least' two-thirds of the lodges under each .uri»Jiction havo Signified their adhesion to such mew body ; such recognition shall only be granted by agreement of tho three Grand' Lodges that on such recognition of such new. Graijd Lodgo as the sovereign tody the respective authorities - of thd threo Grand Lodges -will surrender their lights to Warrant new lodges within the jurisdiction of the new body, provided that the rights of lodges not aUhcrins t o 'the new body shall Ibo fully safeguarded." ' Tho conference waslcallod at the instance of the Grand Lodge of Kngland, presided over l,y the Earl of Amherst, Pro-Grand Master, and was attended by the Gland Master of Scotland ian<J representatives of the Grand Lodge of Ireland.
