Stephen's conditional purchase, Senior-Sergeant McLean, on tefatlf 61 the Crown law authorities, obtained warrants for the arrest ot W. N. Willis, Hoskins (station manager tor Willis) and E. McNar (Willi*' confidential, clerk). (Received Aug. «, 4.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 6. InetWence Wore the Lands Commission, a writing expert testified ttat the signature "Stephens" on a certain document was evidently a forOn charges of conspiring to make use ol Stephens taking up the conditional purchase, thus dciraudiag the Government of divers large sums of' money, Hoskins and McNar were arreted at Willis' office, and bailed out in £4OO each. Willis is expected to reach Durban in a day or two, and he will probably be arrested on arrival.
