A Stormy MestiDg. (Per Pi-ess Association.) STKATtORD, July;-31. The annual meeting of shareholders m uic Stratford Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association was held to-day. The balance-sheet, which showed a surplus of £3438.10s lid, was adopted. A stormy discussion arose on the alleged neglect ol the managing director and the auditor in losing sight of 375 boxes of butter destroyed' by, the fire at Moturoa Freezing Works. Nothing was known of the loss until it was mentioned by the firm through which it was to have been exported. It was explained that the mistake was made by a former secretary, who neglected to book tile butter when sent out. The chairman of directors, who also acted as managing director, resigned the latter position, and a recommqidation was passed to the directors to abolish it. The auditor was re-appointed. A proposal to wind up the company with a view to forming two companies was rejected. A recommendation was tfaat the directors consign all export butter in future. Mr R. Dingle was re-elected Chairman of directors^
