The Pacific Cable.
(Received July 30, 4.49 p.m.) LONDON, July 29. The Pacific Cable Conference has concluded. It is recommended that unless soma satisfactory arrangement is arrived at, the Pacific cable be authorised ta engage in active competition witk other lines. The Standard says the Conference hopes that the Australian Government, will modify the New Southi Wales agreement with the Eastern Extension Company, removing some of the objections to the company's privileged position.
