Fat cattle.—22l head wen- yarded, one-third prime bullocks ami heifers, many of the balance being little bet'ter than store. The sale dragged and . prices were 10s per head below last week. Best bullocks £8 10s lo£li, medium £5 to £8 10s, light and inferior £5 to £6, best cows and heifers £6 10s to £7 ss, medium £0 to £6, aged £3 10s to £i ss. i Fat sheep—l 232 were penned, inost'ly medium cwts and wethers and a couple of pins of extra prime wethers. Prices were on a par will', last week's , J rates, Best wethers 23s 3d to 255, t one or two pens up to 275, good wej thcrs 20s to 225, best ewes up to 22s 3d, others 19s 6d to 20s. Kat lambs.—Bo were penned. Best : lambs Ids to 17s 6d. I j Pins.—272 were yarded, principally suckers and slips. The demand for these, except the extra good sorts, was small ; porkers also were In ovsr supply. Suckers 4s to 7s, slips 8s 6d to 12s, stores 14s to 20s, porkers 23s to 30s, light baconei's 35s to 435, heavy 45s to 525, choppers up to 655.

Prime seed lines 2s to 2s 3d, good do. Is 9d to 2s, prime milling Is Bjd to Is 9d, good to best feed Is 7-Jd to Is Bd, inferior and medium Is 5d to Is 7d ; sacks extra. Wheat.—Small business Is passing locally, chiefly in lines of prime. Fowl wheat is scarce, and has a good inquiry.
