The second ollicer, Mr Nixon, Was on the bridge at the time, and in order to get him out of the way one of the three mutineers informed him that a man had fallen from the toreyard. Mr Nixon at once hurried to that pari iof the vessel. Meanwhile th,- captain Iliad been attacked in his cabin, ScaI man Hobbs fired several shots from a revolver. The first entered the 1,0-,dy ,dy of the captain above the heart, and the second struck an arm. The I two other mutineers then belaboured ; th" poor captain on (he head, while I Hobbs fired three mote shots a i, I him. At this moment Mr Nixon entered the cabin, and was immediately shot dead.
