Hair Vigor Ton know the story—how good Quoen Bess, pointing to the beautiful hair of a peasant girl, said, "There's a veal royal crown. I would trade my golden ono for it." That was long ago. Now jou can have a "real royal crown" of your own, simply by nsing Ayer's Hair Vigor. It makes the hair grow thick and long and stops it falling out. When your hair is rich and heavy, and when the closest inspection fails to detect a single gray hair, you will certainly look a groat deal younger, and you will be mnch better satisfied with yourself, too. Isn't that so ?

A very impudent, case of blackmailing is reported to have occurred in Chrisichureh. A resident who holds a high position, faith as a private- citizeii and a public man, received an anonymous typewritten letter, stating that the writer had suspicions in respect to his relationwith a married woman. He had watched them and his suspicious lir.i been confirmed. If £f>o was not forthcoming lie would place the mattei before the gentleman's wife. No notice was taken of that letter, and it was followed by another, slating that unless the sum was paid tliv writer would inform the husband of the woman who was alleged to be implicated. The recipient of these letters is about the last man in the world against whom a charge of !he nature suggested could he (says the Times) made with the slightest ;'.,- gree of truth, ami being awase that Iris wife wouVd know how to deal with the blackmailer if he approached her, he is not at all perturbed. He has not paid the £SO, and has no intention of doing so. It is stated that a number of prominent citizens in this city have been the subjects of blackmailers' attention and some, in order to prevent even the shadow of a scandal, have become victims.
