HUSBAND'S WILFUL NEGLECT.
CAUSES A WOMAN'S DfcATH. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 17. The. circumstances of the death of Mrs Rebecca. Grigg, at Arch Vlill, as revealed at 'the inquest, were pf a sensational character. Evidence showed that 'deceased was very much emaciated, Dr. Dealh said thai had medical aid Ixx-n rendered a fori night prior to' the woman's death 'there was cvc-iy, possibility that her life would have' -l)een prolonged ;• in fact, her life might have been saved. Dealh was due to an abscess. ) Incoming to this verdict, the jury, lot the Coroner (Mr Gresham), "also iii accordance with the. summing up fouikl that death was accelerated by | wilful neglect of the husband, Francis George Grigg, Who'was subsequently arrested on a charge of manslaughter, Grigg appeared at the Poijcc Oirl this mowing, and was remanded.
