Mr Shaw has held the Position of secretary for over eleven years, an-I is well known and highly esteemed in commercial circles. Mr Andrew Thomson, a well-known resident of Dtinudin, died on Thms(lay at the of sixty-six years. Mr Thomson landed in Otago forty-two years ago. lie was a very old member of tho Dnnedin Howling Club,having joined shortly after the club's formation. Ho ,skip|<ed one of the rinks in tho lirst intercolonial match played at Melbourne in Exhibition year. He leaves a widow, and in survived by a family of five daughters and one son.
