THE OCCUPATION OF SAGHALIER.
NO RESISTANCE. RUSSIANS BURN KORSAKOSK. KOSK. FOUR OUNS LOST. (Received July 11, 9.38 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 11. The Japanese Cposul's advices state that Admiral Katoaka's souadron arrived at SaghaKen at daybreak on the 7th. A naval detachment landed without resistance and occupied the position previously determined on, whereupon part of the army landed and relieved the naval detachment.
Meanwhile the enemy's tort on the height south o! Korsakosk opened fire, bat no damage was done to the afuadron. The army occupied Korsakosk the next morning without much resistance. The Russians had burnt the town and retired to a position near Solvivka. where the; again attempted to resist the advance. Being dislodged. th»y retired towards Vladimirovka. The Japanese captured four guns and a quantity ot ammunition. They snstaioed no loss.
