! ADVOCATED BY BISHOP, WALLIS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 11. Bishop Wallis, in his opening address to the Synod, said the following was the tot of the proposition to be submitted as a plebiscite ' on the Bible-in-Schools question "Are you in favour of the proposal that State schools shall be opened daily, with the Lord's Prayer, and that in these schools Bible lessons shall be taught the children during school hours, subject to a conscience clause for teachers and scholars '!"■
This was tho only, question that would be put forward. By the result of the referendum in Victoria they were determined that if a plebiscite was granted for this colony there should be no ambiguity aboul its significance.
