July g.-Sailed, at 3.311 p.m., Warritnoo, (or Wellington; British Monarch, for Auckland. Melbourne, July 9.—Arrived, Wimmcra, from Bluff. The Ngapuhi sailed trom Onehunga at 3.40 p.m. yesterday, for New Plymouth, crossing the Manukau bar at 5.35 p.m. A LIGHTER IN DIFFICULTIBS. (Per Press Association.) GISBORNK, July 9. The lighter Tawera was returning from the Talune tbis evening, having taken in low the lighter Ttti. The Tawera wax forced on to a shallow bank of sand near the groyne at the river entrance. The tow-line becoming taut, the Tawera swung round and soon both the boats were in difficulties. The Tawera, after bnmping against the groyne, was ran well up on the westward beach, and the Ttti was secured and anchored in sheltered water. The damage (if any) to the Tawera is not yet ascertainable. All hands are sate. The last launch could not go out of the river with tbe passengers, and the Talune has teen detained until morning.
