A- passenger on tin- Primsesse Marie, the Danish vessel sunk, gave the officers on the Terek a Singapore paper containing news of the Baltic fleet's deieat, whereupon the officers and. crew loudly cheered. The Terek headed for Batavia with the last scrapings of her coal. General Linevilch reports that on Thursday morning a vigorous Japanese advance on Beihie compelled the Russians to reUeat. until reinforced, when the Japanese retired in turn. The Japanese advanced from Nanshanchenso to Luguchau, and from Jubantsi to Wanheku.
Puce Plenipotentiaries' Powers. TO CONCLUDE A TREATY. SUBJECT TO RATIFICATION. (Received Julv 3, 9.57 p.m.) LONDON, July 3. President, Roosevelt announced that the peace plenipotentiaries aro M. Muravieff and Baron Rosen (Russian) and Komura and Takahir (Japanese), with full power to negotiate and conclude a treaty subject to ratification by .heir respective Governments.
