Lincoln hoggets arc at 13d. As the result of a shortage of colonial wools there have been heavy American' purchases. Large purchas-' es have been made for Japanese army clothing. . Wheat.—Three Australian cargoes sold at 31s 3d, 30s 7id, and 30s lOid respectively. The wheat and flour afloat is 3,055000 quarters; for the Continent 2,150,000 quarters, and Atlantic shipments 40,000 quarters. Shares.—Australian and New Zealand Mortgage £B9, others unchanged. (Per PVess Association.) DUNEDIN, June 28. Wheat.—The market is steady without quotable change. Millers are buying sparingly, but holders pi prime are not pressing sales, itiiitrmilling 3s to 3s Id, medium 2s lOd to 2s lid, best fowls' feed 2s 9d, inferior 2s 6d ; sacks extra,, Oats.—Consignments have been light and stocks are low. The price local-; ly is hardening, and shippers have some difficulty in supplying the He-, mand. Seed oats is lOd to 2s 3d, prime milling Is Bid to Is 9d, best teed Is Bd, inferior to medium Is 6d to Is 7£d ; sacks extra, BURNSIDE MARKET REPORT DUNEDIN, June 28. Fat cattle.—lßo were yarded, heavy weight prime being in the minority, and in consequence these had special attention at an improvement of 10s per head over last week',_ Compete tion was keen, and the market all round was in favour of vendors. Best bullocks £9 15s to £lO 10s, medium steers £8 7s 6d, prime heifers £5 to £6 ss, cows £4 3s to £5 as. Fat sheep.—l7so were penned, comprising good quality wethers with a few pens of medium ewes. The sale opened firm at last week's rates, but prices fell away towards the end by about Is fid per head. Best wethers 22s 6d to 24s 9d, a few pens of extra heavy 27s 9d, good wethers 21s to 22s 3d, others up to 20s, good ewes 17s 6d to 20s, extra good to 23s 6d, others 15s to 19s. Fat lambs.—4oo yarded. Prices re--1 ceded slightly on last week's rates'. Best lambs 15s 6d to 17s 9<l, extra heavy up to 19s, others 14s to 15s 3d. Pigs.—l3o yarded. All baconcrs sold at satisfactory rates, but suckers and slips were In poor demand.
