In the Police Court this afternoon, i Thomas Albert Jackson, ranger and dog tax collector to the Mount Albert KoaH Board, aged about 35 years, was charged with assaulting witH serious intention a girl pupil of the Newmarket Technical School's ■cookery classes, aged 16 years, while , she wasdJrbceeding- to her home on a 'lonely noaa. The circumstances of the ■alleged offence, outlined by Chief Detective Marsack, .were of a shocking •description. Accused was committed tor trial. Prisoner a week ago was charged ■with indecency and exposing h nisclf to a number of school girls, all of identified him- Witnesses for the defence, however, established an »E1&; and ho was discharged.
