The average price for - Canterbury mutton toKlny is 4ijd per lb light weight, and 4d petlb heavy weights ; for other North Island mutton 4d per lb light, and Bjd per lb heavy weights ; Australian 8)3 ; River Plate 3Jd. . "iLamb.—The market is quiet, but' holders are firm.. The market is over-supplied with heavy carcases ol lamb, The. price for New Zealand lamb, Canterbury brand, is 5f4 per lb, and of New Zealand lamb., of brands other than Canterbury 5Jd per lb ; tegs, 5d per lbßiver Plate, 4Jd." - [. '''Butter. —The market is firm. New Zealand offerings are very small, and the average, price of choicest New Zealand butter ro-day is 98s per cwt.
