Encouragement of Shooting.
LORD ROBERTS' OPINION. LONDON, June 12. Lord Roberts, in a weighty letter to .the press/ emphasises the pressing- necessity for the universal trainng of the youths of the nation to shoot. He appeals to the Lord-Lieu-tenants, Mayors, and l(A;al authorities to originate rifle clubs, and in* vites contributions up to £IOO,OOO to place the organisations on a permanent footing. He adds : "If British soldiers in Souths Africa had been able to shoot most unfortunate incidents would not have ocqurred,"
