The Borough engineer, in his report to be presented to the Council tonight, mentions that the -tunnel and intake contract has been taken over from tho contractor, subject, however, to the tunnel and intake proving perfectly tight. On Wednesday he discovered the sewor pipe a t tho pipehead running freely, and the contractor had been notified to remedy tho defect at once.
