Russia Asks Jap's Demands. (Received June 8, 11.40 p.m.) LONDON, June 8. * , The Russians on Monday attacked Manchiahun and were repulsed. The Japanese on the same day expelled the" Russians from Shahotne,, nine miles .east of Chang tu, and captured the Russian position at Chi- : * bistro, 1-3 lniles nortii of Quangping. Reuters • St. Petersburg correspondent states that after the meeting of Ministers at Tsarskoe Selo, the Ambassadors at Washington and Paris were instructed that Russia was desirous of leaipimr Jpppn's conditions of peace.
