On Friday night last, sayi Ihe Inglewood -Kccord, the premises of Mr I'each were broken into by some person or persons unknown, the till broken open, and ten pounds in notes, gold and silver' stolen. The thieves. took all the large money they could see : but avoided' "three-pennies" and " brownies." The thieves did the work very comfortable, simply remov-, ing some glass from a cracked pane, then ikiseirting the hand, mid unfastening -'the stish, then opening it and entering was the work of but a few seconds. The thief, or thieves, were evidently in no hurry, as small things in the way were carefully removed, and the journey from the window to the till was made without anyway interfering with the lay od the furniture, excepting that a chisel on the workman's bench was commandeered for the time as a means of prizing open the till. The housebreakers do not appear to have interfered with anything but the cash, as there is no evidence of the abduction of any of the stock.
