worn on the occasion and the har- 1 monious blending of flowers, etc., Con-( 1 tributcd to a pretty effect. 1 Mr Eric Hay ley acted as best man, 1 and Messrs Lon. Williams* and Arthur I Collins (of Wanganui) as grooms- l men.' ; The bride, who was given away by 1 her father, looked most becoming in. : an elegant dress of white mouselino do soie, the skirt trimmed with frills
which were covered with niching and finished With chiffon roses. The body had a berthe of point, lace, with a
gathered chiffon yoke and sleeves, and in addition the bride wore the
orthodox veil and wreath and carried a white prayer-book. She was . attended by the bridesmaids Mis* Vera Snowball (chief) and the Misses Verna and Olive Williams. Ihu i\r«t-*amed, a cousin of the bride, was attired in white silk, the dress
being insertioned with lace, and wore a tangerine belt, together with a drawn s'ilk hat trimmed with tangenino rosettes, and carried a bouquet of tangerine shaded autumn leaves and chrysanthemums. The other two bridesmaids were prettily dressed in white silk, infcertionod ! with lace, and relieved with tangerine sas-hes, and wore white silk hats with chiffon trimming and ostriqji tips, also carrying baskets of tangerine shaded flowers. Mrs Cock, mother of the bride, wore a lovely dress of black mcrveilleux trimmed with black silk passementerie, and a handsome drown ifeather stole, as wall as toque of gathered white chiffon trimmed with tangerine.
Amongst the guests were Mrs IJert Cock (Wellington) who wore a dress of black voile, inscrtioned with bdack moltese lace and white fur, with a white hat trimmed with black and white ifur ; Mrs 0. Ncal, black accordeon pleated skirl. black silß 'blouse with .silk yoke, and a white felt hat trimmed with roses and white feather stole ; Mrs McForland (sister of bridegroom), dove-coloured dress trimmed with lace, white feather stole, and a bilack hat; Mrs Healey, black accordeon pleated skirt and scarlet blouse with black lace yoke, picture hat trimmed with) black feathers and scarlet roses j Mrs
Xoonan, long black silk coat and black bonnet; Mrs Walter Williams, cream voile over white silk, trimmed with chiffon, silk straw hat trimmed with chiffon roses ; Mrs Curtis, green tailor made costume with black hat and ostrich feathers ; Miss Curtis, cream serge triauned with cream velvet and crimson, hat.
• The present of the bridegroom to the bride was a handsome gold flexible bracelet set with tuncfiioise and paarls ; to' the chief bridesmaid a fapphlro und pearl pendant : and to the other bridesmaids giold heart pendants. The bride presented tho bridegroom with a signot ring. Following upon the ceremony at large number of guests were enter-1 cained at ». wedding breakfast at Mr Cock's residence. Several toasts wcro proposed, and speeches appropriate to the occasion made.
A very large number of guests attended the afternoon reception, The drawing-room was artistically decorated with palms and- evergreens, and some 200, handsome and serviceable wedding presents mode a beautiful display* Tho residence throughout was decorutod in tangcifnc nnd white, with Very fine effect. Music was dispensed, the performers being advantagfjously posted m tho "look-out," adjoining, the verandah. ,
The bride's aunt, Mrs Neole, currjod out the tablo decorations', and assisted by tho bridesmaids superintended the dining-room, the comfort* of the guests being, studiously atten<i«d to.-
The young, couple, in whose honour numberless telegrams and messages of congratulation poured in from all parts of tho colony, left for Wangonu, by the afternoon train on their honeymoon.
