competition were made known on Saturday night. For the two pre- * ■vious weeks the record was compiled od the Monday, so that it must be borne in mind that the week is a short one. Harry Creber, of West- ' ,port (Silver Wyandottes) is still lead- ■'. ihg, his total for the three week's he- -.' 'ing 56 eggs. The details are :—l9 in ''" itha first week, 22 in the second, and 15 in the third. F. B. Brooks. of South Australia (White .Leghorns) is second,. with a total of 50, the details being 12, 18,' and 20. Henry Leger, of Levin (White Leghorns) is •■.'■■'' third,-.with a total of 49, composed ■ ,ot 6, 22, and 21. In the fourth-posi-tion are the White Leghorns of Mrs
'AldrMge, of Wairau liar, with a total of 29, consisting of 10. 11. ami 8. Fifth are the Brown Leghorns of E t Maxted, with 27, made 'up of 7, 12, 'and 8. Sixth arc the .White Leghorns of J. Hodson, Blenheim, with 26, made up of *;■ 8, and 14. Mnny of the hens- w.ere not well prepared for the event', and in 38 out of the 100 pens riota'single egg has been laid. The,weekly record issued by the management does not include daily details,- or the .weight oi the eggs. . :
