ALLEGED PERJURY.
(Per Press Association.) FEILDI.VO, Jla.v 17. Before justices to-day \V. J." Short, of Apiti, was charged with committing perjury in his evidence in the recent action brought against him by one Jiaer for the recovery ol £IOO. The police took action untlej instructions from the S.M., Mr Thomson, before whom the case was heard. Accused was committed for trial nt Palmcrslon North. Hail was allowed in one surety of £IOO, and oil his owu recognizances for £IOO.
